The national clearinghouse of data on the nonprofit sector in the United States

NCCS staff and affiliated consultants prepare data files, handle information and data requests, and manage various NCCS projects.

Thomas H. Pollak, JD

Tom has worked on an array of activities and research areas since joining NCCS in 1996, including electronic filing of IRS Forms 990, assessing the quality of IRS nonprofit data, understanding nonprofit overhead costs, and improving databases that deal with nonprofit arts organizations. Previously, Tom served as Research Director of Citizens Fund from 1990 to 1994, and as Senior Research Associate at Independent Sector, where his work focused on the impact of federal budget changes on the nonprofit sector.

Katie L. Roeger

Katie has Master's degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Prior to joining NCCS she worked as a Mathematical Statistician with the U.S. Census Bureau.

Jon Durnford, MBA
Consultant
Jon handles NTEE and NPC classification and numerous data preparation and analysis tasks.  He was formerly COO and Acting Executive Director of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters.

Amy Brimer Blackwood
Consultant
Amy is a co-author of the The Nonprofit Almanac 2008 and works with NCCS on a variety of analyses.  She is a former Research Associate with our center.

Kennard (Ken) Wing, MS
Consultant
Ken is the lead author of The Nonprofit Almanac 2008 and has worked extensively with Urban Institute on our Overhead Cost Study Project.

Mark Greider
Consultant
Mark is the lead developer of NCCS 990 Online e-filing system used by thousands of nonprofit organizations for completing and e-filing their IRS Form 990s with the IRS and state charity officials. He has been working with NCCS since 1999.

Rich Fowler
Consultant
Rich is the lead developer of the NASCOnet XML Superschema, NCCS state charity registration websites and works closely with Mark on all of our e-filing projects.
