NCC Charitable Giving Statistics
Individual Charitable Contributions by State

Each summer, the Internal Revenue Service publishes selected data from individual tax returns filed during the previous calendar year that include ranges of adjusted gross income (AGI) and deductions for charitable donations.  NCCS has summarized charitable giving by state and tracks changes in charitable giving across states and over time.

Household Giving Tables

Build custom reports on charitable giving by state, county, or income level.  These reports are compiled based on data from the IRS tax return, Form 1040, Schedule A, by households that itemize deductions.   The IRS Tax Return Summary Files are available for select years between 1997 and 2008.
