Organizations that prepare amateur athletes to participate in the Olympics, an international program of sports training and athletic competition which features a variety of sports and games, or in other similar competitions. Included are the national governing bodies for sports that are part of the Olympic and Pan-American Games whose charge is to select, train and manage athletes who represent the U.S. internationally.
