Click a description to read the full definition where one exists. Short descriptions use the IRS wording (Instructions for Form 1023, Appendix D); long descriptions come from the Nonprofit Open Data Collective NTEE table and are still being written for the newest IRS codes. NAICS is the 2022 edition. Codes the IRS has retired stay in the table because older files still carry them. Source: NCCS lookup tables, ntee_code.csv.
